Rates: Our rates vary based on the services rendered and the time involved with the consultation or treatment session. Please call the clinic for current pricing.
Insurance: While Chesapeake Acupuncture & Healing Arts, LLC participates with select health care insurance companies and other third party coverage (including car insurance, PIP and workers comp. plans), please be aware that not all the services we provide are covered by health insurance plans.
Most Maryland health care plans now cover acupuncture. If you have acupunture benefits through your health insurance plan we will verify your coverage and submit claims to your plan for payment. When scheduling your appointment, you will just need to provide us with a few details about your health coverage.
You may also choose to verify your insurance prior to scheduling with us. Questions to ask include the following…
- Do I have acupuncture benefits under my health insurance plan?
- Does my health insurance require preauthorization or referral for acupuncture?
- Do I have an annual deductible and has it been met?
- What is the copayment/coinsurance amount that I will be expected to pay at the end of my appointment?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
Payment: Cash or personal checks are our preferred method of payment; however, most credit cards (including FSA & HSA cards) are accepted. All insurance billing is subject to verification of benefits. For insurance plans which we don’t particpate, we will submit your claims as a courtesy but do request payment at the time of service.
Cancellation Policy: Payment for the full cost of the session is required if less than 24 hours notification of cancellation is given before a scheduled appointment. Subsequent visits will not be scheduled until the missed appointment fee is paid.
